One main event each day

Three days in Clearwater Beach with room to change course

Give each day one anchor and keep the third day flexible until weather, ferry status, and group energy are known.

The quick answer

Day one is central beach and sunset. Day two is marine rescue and an optional Sand Key finish. Day three is Caladesi, a relaxed park day, or an indoor pivot chosen after current checks.

Day one: central Clearwater Beach

Orient, swim during a guarded window when available, protect a midday reset, and finish near Pier 60 without moving the car.

The goal

Learn the walking, parking, heat, meal, and return rhythm before committing later days.

Day two: marine rescue and Sand Key

Use Clearwater Marine Aquarium as the first anchor and Sand Key only as an optional later block.

Family pacing

Families with small children should choose either a long aquarium block or a long beach block, not demand both.

Weather swap

Move the aquarium to the wettest forecast window while acknowledging its outdoor areas.

Day three: decide after the check

Use conditions, confirmed operations, and energy—not a rigid pre-trip promise.

Caladesi logistics: the public ferry leaves from Honeymoon Island, includes a four-hour island stay, does not allow pets, and depends on current operating conditions. Verify the park and ferry status that morning.
